Project Gee was born in 2019 during the Polar Vortex a few months following the Smith's family participation in a volunteer event, Meals from the Heart, at the Ronald McDonald House. This was their 6 year old daughter's first volunteer opportunity. Brooke left the Ronald McDonald House with a passion to help children and families, suffering from various illnesses, with such concern over their daily lives in and out of hospitals. She set out to create an organization to bring awareness with a kind name and chose "Project Gee", named after her beloved stuffed bunny.
Since the launch of Project Gee, Brooke has found a passion in keeping her local community parks clean. Today, before Brooke plays at her park, she starts by using her reacher grabber, gloves, and a bag to clean first.
The mission of Project Gee is to share Brooke's passion for service to others and giving back with a goal to inspire children to find areas that they are passionate about too. From the founder herself, "Project Gee is my way to show kids how to do goodwill."
Today, Project Gee is focused on 1) providing children ways to give back to the Ronald McDonald House and 2) keeping our local community parks clean.
As we grow as a nonprofit, we are supported by our community and rely on donations to continue our success and volunteer support. We greatly appreciate any donations and all funds will be used 100% for Project Gee's success. Support us through our GoFundMe link shared below. Thank you in advance!!!
